TheHunter: Call of the Wild - Mississippi Acres Preserve Review (Humpenstilzchen)
Great hunting resereve. Crocodiles are NOT hard to shoot, don´t get fooled by some reviewers who just don´t seem to know where the vital organs are and which weapons are appropriate for the job. Killed crocs float towards you just like ducks do so don´t worry to lose them.
People who claim killed crocs disappear have no clue. Wounded crocs dive down so you can´t see them anymore which is why they believe they have vanished but they come back after a minute or so. Dead crocs always float towards you.
Also don´t believe that there are no animals to be found. There are lots of animals. The thing is the view distance is not that far due to the frequent fog and rain and there is a lot of underbrush, which means you have to sneak properly in order to not spook the animals.
Furthermore it is mentioned at the start of the map when you have just entered the reserve that animals there are most active during nighttime, so obviously you will see less of them at daytime but they are still there resting somewhere.
I can´t say anything in regards to the quests though, since I have deactivated the questsystem and just go hunting.
One last thing: The animal calls on this map are currently broken which means they don´t come from the direction where the animals actually are. This bug doesn´t occur for everyone and most likely only to those who use surround sound but I just wanted to leave a warning as it is not guaranteed that the devs will fix this anytime soon or at all.
Edit: We have now december the 23th and the bug that makes sounds come from the wrong direction is still not fixed, yet they release paid dlc´s nonetheless.
