Newest 24gb in-game store just corrupted my save game file. Thanks Devs! I also cannot post about it or get help with it on the steam forums because PicSoul has had me perma banned for 3 years now instead of just giving a temp ban or warning. Lovely! Best devs ever letting that guy be in charge of their community.
lol and good luck to all the people who are going to get banned by PicSoul for complaining about the 24gb in-game shop update today. I cannot believe 3 years later I'm still banned for mentioning that I torrented this game on release before I bought it to see if I'd like it. I would have been genuinely remorseful and happy to work with them had "it" just communicated like a normal human being.
Apparently a lot of my friends have also been banned by him or other Steam forum Cotw moderators for very benign things ( this could have been solved with a temp suspension and a warning quite easily), so I don't play Cotw much anymore considering I cannot upload my hunt screenshots and their dev team and steam forum mods don't listen or care about their paying customers.
Who cares if I torrented the game in the past if I'm now a paying customer who also has bought every piece of DLC? I will never understand the mentality of people on a power trip who can't take constructive criticism or bad reviews. I believe everyone should be allowed to try a game before you buy it, and since we can't do that with PC games "legally" in 2022 savvy shoppers use other methods. Sometimes 2 hours on Steam is not enough (Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 takes more than 2 hours just to install and update with their launcher open, giving you no option to refund if it does not work or run well).
Some clown will come by and say "well you were talking about torrenting and pirating the game, what do you expect?" I expect maybe a temp suspension and a warning instead? Not a perma ban for something that did not affect their bottom line considering it led to me buying their horribly buggy game that has corrupted my save file and crashed so much, along with having such terrible programming they need 5 years to fix bugs and issues like scope mouse sensitivities being totally off or toggle scope keybindings being hard bound with no customization.
(This save file corruption has happened multiple times since release to me, I have to back up my save file A LOT in this game and I suggest you do too. If you complain about it or say something PicSoul does not like, he may go on a power trip for something else dumb and ban you. I have a feeling these are the types of people who watch Mr. Bowtie on Vulpine News and somehow found a way to support Mr. Vlad across the sea).
