The Wreck Review (LilesIndieCorner)

This is one of the most emotionally honest games that I have ever played. Trauma is tackled very realistically and you should definitely heed the content warning at the beginning.
But for me, the journey through Junon's life and slowly but surely figuring out what the car crash meant, was really beautiful.
the graphic style took a bit getting used to for me but soon enough I really came to appreciate the more simplistic animations and with it being tied to the framing device, I actually ended up finding it rather clever.
You should also be aware that this is interactive fiction. While there are a few choiced to be made, none really impact the story, except for the ending. You are on the road to a conclusion the whole time and you don't get a lot of agency. I didn't miss it because the writing and the acting is top-notch, but if you're looking for something more gameplay-oriented, this is not for you.
The Wreck will stay with me for a while and I love it when any form of media can do that. What a beautiful and impactful story!
