The Walking Dead: Season Two Review (Blood-Red Igris)
I've played the telltale walking dead games so many times. I think this is my 5th or 6th time playing the 2nd one. These games are a perfect "flawed" masterpiece (Season 1 & 2 anyways)
I will never get bored of replaying these games. Not a single other game can give off the vibe like the walking dead telltale games. It's in it's own realm. You'd think after playing a game so much the emotions stop but every time it gets me man.
Pewdiepie said it best, the major flaw of these games, is everyone dies. Season 2 is the prime example. It should be called The Walking Dead Season 2: Dropping Like flies. Death in these type of games are a given and should be expected but I feel like this is why the 3rd game and 4th game don't live up to 1 and 2. Nobody is around, there's no memorable characters besides Clem. They should have kept a few or even just one. If I had to choose, Luke should have not been killed. Luke was the Lee of this game just not as "good". This time around though, something made me choose a different option. I usually ALWAYS kill Jane at the end and go with Kenny, but this playthrough. Man just let the dude die. Kenny is on edge with everybody, more shit just makes him fall into the rabbit hole of guilt and anger. I had to kill Kenny at the end. It just felt right this time. Jane is such a piece of shit for pulling the move at the end and it's one of those moments I go "fuck not this part" because I hate how she tries to manipulate Clementine in that way. A lot of people hate Jane, but I've always thought she was a good and likeable character. That being said, there is just so much I hate and love about this game and I can't write about it all, it's why I call it a perfect flawed masterpiece.
