The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners Review (busy_izzy)

WHEN YOU FIRST GET THE GAME -- OCULUS PLAYERS: YOU HAVE TO REBIND YOUR CONTROLS. the recommended game rebinds by the creator didn't work for me, i used the top community rebind. I'm not sure why this isn't explained clearly on the game page or when you first load in.
🎮
if you get this game, prepare to redo missions with no checkpoints 24/7 (i play on standard). the game-play functions itself are pretty neat, i like how when i stab a walkers head my knife gets stuck in it, how the flashlight is actually used, and the missions are pretty nice and the lore is decently put together.
i was excited to try out the interactive voice function, but very rarely is it used, and it doesn't tell you if the person/walker heard your footsteps or heard your voice (no voice ui). the npcs don't really interact with your voice either.
I didn't like being in a lore related conversation and having to worry about walkers/having walkers interrupt the dialogue and have to go over it again. I guess it is realistic to the scenario tho, I just think the NPCs shouldn't repeat themselves/ask if they have to repeat themselves.

the game glitches occasionally, like my endgame scene in the church glitched out and i had to redo the whole thing (which wasn't hard, just annoying), npcs shooting me through walls, and a few walker bugs. the flashlight gets a bit annoying with sight, even with max brightness i couldn't see things clearly and the upgraded flashlight is something you'd have to go far out of your way for.

the game is worth the buy! just wish the devs actually gave (obvious) notes on bugs..
TLDR:
😥
- OCULUS MUST REBIND CONTROLS, yet nothing is said about this in the game ui/menu or store page?
🎮
- No Mission Checkpoints
- Neat Game-play Functions
- Interactive Voice function is not that interactive
- Walkers interrupt conversations -- Dialogue resets

- A bit buggy
(EX. : Had to redo endgame, Enemies shooting through walls, walker combat bugs)
- Flashlight is very dim
(FYI: This is my first genuine review)
