The Texas Chain Saw Massacre: Bones Review (Shotgun Merwin)
Not impressed so far. Bones is exceptionally slow, and you're not able to equip scout on him to speed him up, many victims can flat outrun him, and a few have even figured out how much fun it is to run circles around him. His bombs are kind of bafflingly pointless, if a victim can see them then they can very easily set them off and avoid the blast, and even if they can't see it there's still a good chance they'll escape their effects. When the bombs go off, they can also stun nearby family members and even damage critical doors and such, and you can't really use them to guard objectives. He's a character that is basically designed to just hang out in the basement all match, which, from a victim point of view, he's easily avoidable as they know to just not go down there if he's in the match. In essence, he's pretty much the same thing as a basement dwelling sissy, except with an even poorer main ability.
In terms of the character himself, Bill Moseley performs his voice lines with very little energy or enthusiasm, seems like he's literally phoning it in, and the character's movements seem rather bizarre.
*edit* After playing the character more, my opinion has change slightly, but it's still negative. Bones does have a very powerful blood build available to him, however I'm sure this is just some sort of bug or oversight by the devs and will eventually be removed from him. Even the most powerful blood build in the world isn't very effective though, considering the ease which victims can attack grandpa and they can generally escape long before even bones can get him up to lv 5. Also, all of bones special perks seem to revolve around the fact that the character is supposed to be used as a chaser, yet he is clearly one of the worst chasers in the game due to the slowness not only of his running but also his special skills allowing him to go down wells and over barricades and through windows are so slow even when upgraded, it's hard to see any sort of use for them. It's way fast to just take the door outside than to jump out a window, it's way faster to take the stairs down to the basement than to jump down a well, it's way faster to just run around most obstacles than for bones to jump through them.
