The Star Named Eos Review (PrincesseChaos)

"Mixed feelings" is the best way that I can use to describe my attitude towards this game (100% completion). On one hand it is stunning visually, the story is intriguing, and the music serves as a bow on this gift of an aesthetically pleasing game. On the other, I really disliked being "pushed" by the game to progress in a very specific way. There was so many interesting things I wanted to click on but no, no exploring beyond the "necessities". And the biggest let down of this game were the puzzles. I think we are far beyond the point where the towers of Hanoi were a fun thing to solve.
Side note about achievements: full play-through takes about an hour, if you aren't nearly blind like me, you'll get almost all of the achievements right away; some of them are... tedious? a reach? unnecessary? I'll let you be the judge but I love maxing games and this one felt like a chore at times.
All in all: at this price point + this much content = sorry to say that, but mid for me. However, it could be great for you if you're more of a "vibes" person and not "give me your toughest battles puzzles" person.
