The Sims 4: My Wedding Stories Review (Arthur Kenichi Condino Odaguiri)

You surely can have some fun. But there's "Fear of Missing Out" and too many bugs:
(new forum link: https://forums.ea.com/category/the-sims-4-en)
1. Before you play this game, read this; the full list of bugs with more than 100 entries (source: official EA / The Sims 4 forums):
(the new forum web page doesn't have the list pinned yet) https://forums.ea.com/idea/the-sims-4-bug-reports-en/read-first-compiled-list-of-reported-issues/5052943
old forum that'll be shut down: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/READ-FIRST-Compiled-list-of-reported-Issues/td-p/3445209
2. Also, take a look at these; see how many unanswered or unsolved reports are in the forums (source: official EA / The Sims 4 forums):

Also, it's a game that may have the most vain and toxic community. So that would explain why the game is like this today. I'm not affirming anything about that, I'm just supposing.
EDIT 2025/01/28: EA moved its forums to a new web page so I'm adding the new links so you can see how the problems may still persist and how they can keep growing: the "answers.ea.com" links will be kept here for historic purpose, but EA chose to take them down soon.
They didn't bring yet the full list of 100+ bugs and the posts are still in the old forums (EA Answers) and in read-only format; and its rather dubious and mysterious why would they leave those for later as they are a priority and are some of the most important posts: even more because they told they would bring the bug reports to the new forum. They may still bring the posts later as many things are read-only for some days because they are migrating the data (and there are many bugs, so it is a lot of data). I'll still add the link with bug reports to the Reviews on Steam too so you can see the other players' experiences before trying the game yourself.
Some things more I want to add about this game so that if you have OCD you may not want to play it:
1. some time ago you could get some new items for free when the The Sims team would send them through The Sims Delivery Express; and that was amazing because we could have more game content for free
2. yet, we still get some unique items from time to time and new features because the game updates and adds more stuff, like round walls and more
3. and here comes the worst part about it all: Timed Events (the "Fear of Missing Out"):
3.a. I don't know who had this deconstructive and counter intuitive, to not say other more dense and profane words, idea in which we only get free items if we login and do event tasks.
3.b. Sure, you'll get some free items, and the events may be fun, but do you know what happens if you DON'T play the event? Here's the answer:
3.c. you'll lose the items forever and you'll NEVER HAVE THE CHANCE TO PLAY WITH THOSE ITEMS.
3.d. so if you have to leave The Sims 4 for a while because of work or because you are sick, THERE'S NO WAY TO RECEIVE THOSE ITEMS BACK;
3.e. and they are not some temporary items or anything, they are items of new game mechanics like Traits and Special New Interaction items
3.f. sure, it'd be fun to play events and get those items faster, and then later, like, after some months, they'd be available for everyone else, but here's the problem: you will not have those items EVER, and never again you'll get the chance to receive the rewards
3.g. it's sickening how they would make something so destructive in a construction game:
3.g.I. if they say it's free then it really should be free, you should always have the chance to get it, why can't new players have it too? Why is it too late for them now? That's why I said it is counter intuitive
3.g.II. and if the items are so "special" so they are in a Timed Event; why can't a player have it for free and have the opportunity available forever, like I said above: why doesn't everyone else get the chance to receive the item? Specially NEW players? Why would new players don't get the chance to participate and have the full game experience?
3.g.III. if the company would gain anything with this... is it just because of logins? What else would they be getting of benefit by creating this "blockage" to get free items? Why wouldn't they allow new players to buy them then if it was a Timed Event "so you can have it for free"? Why can't someone who couldn't play the event have the opportunity to use the new objects too, even if they then need to pay for it after missing the timed event?
3.g.IV. and what about the players who couldn't have the items because their game was bugged?
4. if you missed or lost any of the events, congrats, you no longer can play the full experience, and that's all about Timed Events being fun, right? Right?!
Additionally, the community may still be getting more and more vain, and in more deeper meanings, while trying to prove their content could be relatable to our society and that it would allow and teach more "acceptance"... Or not: I'm still supposing, and not affirming anything about that.
Besides, something to keep in mind always: we play a virtual game with "Sims", in "SimCity": they are not "Humans" in "HumanCity".
