The Rumble Fish 2 Review (+dream3R)

EDIT: Fully refunded, I hope they fix it in the future and I will get it again if it gets updated to be the re-release it deserves, but frankly it should have been good from day 1 and not whatever this is. And to add onto these things the game is 16:9 with no 4:3 option or balancing to accomodate for this, so it actually alters combos on some characters and is not arcade accurate as a result.
I sadly absolutely CANNOT recommend this in it's current state, the game itself is awesome and has a legacy built up for a reason but this is such a bad look for the game's first ever home release. $30 is sort of a whatever price point on it's own, kind of iffy, but it gets worse when you take a look at the port itself and see how absolutely barebones it is with things such as ZERO keyboard support and quite frankly awful training and online menus, and realize it jumps up to $40 when you add the 3 "DLC" characters who have been playable for no extra cost in the arcade versions since 2005. Also I bought this and was instantly greeted by it running at like 200fps, I had to fix the framerate with a third party frame limiter program. I really sincerely hope the devs take a good look at this and patch the game with the proper QoL features it deserves because this game is legendary and this is just really unacceptable for an almost 2023 fighting game release, just having good netcode doesn't make your port good. The one good thing I can say is that this port is based off the latest balancing NESICA version of the game, but that's pretty much all the good I have to say at the moment and in the future if nothing is done to fix this rerelease.
