The Room VR: A Dark Matter Review (Shallot)
As with all of "The Room" games, this exceeded the expectations set forth by its predecessor. The visuals alone are positively stunning and left me awestruck. I'm not talking about the graphics per se, but rather the animations and visual styling. I'm neutral when it comes to graphics anyway.
More to the point, the developer shows a a substantial level of intelligence and creativity in their puzzle designs and machinations.
I was rather saddened that the game was so short, but it can't be helped.
My only real gripe is the ability to play the game seated. While it technically does work, there were several points during the game where I had to back out into the quest 2 menu in order to lean forward and recenter the view because your character stood too close to a mechanism and I kept bashing myself in the testicles trying to reach a crank or place an object.
My suggestion is allowing the player the ability to pull back on the stick to make the character take a single step back to make room for such actions.
10/10 My nuts grew three sizes that day.
