The Pirate Queen: A Forgotten Legend Review (OrangesAndLemon)
I'm now in the 'Storyteller' playthrough of the game after challenging myself with the 'Escape Room' mode the first time around. The Escape Room gives you less clues so was great for people like me who enjoy a little bit more of a challenge, and while the puzzles weren't incredibly difficult, the details in the cabin, on the deck of the ship and in the maze and shrine were really impressive and gorgeous to look at.
In Storyteller mode I notice that I'm hearing more narration so I'm taking more time to look at all of the objects in detail, and trying and get all of the collectibles - there are a few I can't find, but I'll come back to them in future playthroughs.
Overall the game offers a great little slice of history for anyone interested in the period, and I can tell a lot of thought and energy has gone into this game which is very unusual for a pirate game - refreshing to not just be whacking people with a sword. Lucy Liu is a very good narrator, by the way! I am excited to hear they are turning this into a film - it will make a fantastic franchise.
