The Pirate Queen: A Forgotten Legend Review (MirrorOnTheWa11)
I'm about 4 hours into my first playthrough, and enjoying what's proving to be a very immersive, pleasant and narrative-rich VR experience. Lucy Liu's narration is a real added bonus too.
Often games set in the past have a very loose grasp of history, but that's not the case here - I can see that the team behind The Pirate Queen have put a lot of time and attention into accurately representing the period, from the locations (ship, shrine, etc) and items and objects in-game, as well as the story of Cheng Shih itself. Looking forward to sharing this with my wife, as she's a big history buff.
Overall, The Pirate Queen is a nifty little game for anyone interested in a more chill type of VR experience that prioritises atmosphere and narrative over more traditional hand-to-hand combat. A very memorable experience!
