The Lord of the Rings: Gollum Review (ἈΔΕΛΦΌΣ)
Mordor Parkour simulator, 6/10
Story-driven, high VFX (As long as you have an RTX GPU). Voice acting is, sadly, very low quality.
I am refunding not only because of the voice acting, but also because it looks awful without a ray tracing GPU. Lots of visual artifacts, stuttering, and a very high degree of aliasing, similar to other games that are "meant to be played" with ray tracing. ARK was made 10 years ago and looks better than this game, sadly.
The script itself/story premise is actually not bad. When I buy an RTX GPU I'll give it another try.
It won't fix the painfully bad voice acting though.
In short, I think the funding priorities for this game were in the wrong order. They should have just forked out the money to get Andy Serkis, or at least someone who sounds like him. The elves voice acting was also bad, as well as the mysterious wizard who is probably supposed to be Gandalf.
Would rather play a game with Super Mario 64 graphics as long as it had good voice acting.
