The Jackbox Party Pack 10 Review (kijiko)
By quite a long shot, the worst Jackbox Party Pack. That being said, its still a decent product, but your money is better spent on other packs. Only buy this one if you really want to have all 10 (like i did).
Tee K.O 2 is actually quite decent. It is a good improvement to the original version, adding more tools to the drawing process and generally - feeling modern. But OG Tee K.O feels just as good, so these extra features make me feel more like "they shouldve put this in PP3" and less "yeah this needed to be a standalone game". But it is still decent.
FixyText is just plain terrible. Teams of players write for a period of time, while being unable to delete anything. then a TTS bot reads it out, and then the team that wasnt writing votes on the coolest words. The problem with this one is that you can play it in your spare time on Google Docs instead of paying for it. And last i checked, Docs are cheaper.
Hypnotorious is a good idea, but executed with roughly the same precision that a blind butcher might have. Players need to act out their roles, group themselves with similar sounding roles, and find the outlier - with the catch that the outlier does not know that they are the outlier. This concept is then promptly shattered with how poorly the game itself explains it. Out of 3 rounds i played of this one, in two of them players needed extra explaination post tutorial, and in the third one players noped out. The convoluted scoring system really does not help.
Timejinx is good, but messed up by some weird choices. You get a task to time travel to a specific date within a loose time, and the person with the least points (golf rules apply here) wins. The weird choices in question refer to having all special rounds in the exact same order every game. This kills replayability. Depressing.
Dodo Re Mi is co op mania (or trombone champ on some instruments). you hit the notes on lanes on your phone and hope the other players do the same thing. There is nothing wrong with this one, but there are simply other (and free) mania games with co op. Quaver is free and has co op. Unless you really like the Jackbox OST, there is little reason to pick this one up.
In conclusion, this one is just weak. Buy 4, 5, 7, 8 or 9 instead.
