The Isle Tide Hotel Review (Sky)
Another enjoyable movie-like game from Wales Interactive.
Wales Interactive FMV games are trustworthy to me regarding the fun, quality and intrigue you get with your purchase and this game is no exception.
PROS
• The cast is exceptional and fit every role really well. The characters are unique and very likeable which sometimes makes you second guess choices you may make and will definitely make you want to do multiple play throughs to see the different outcomes.
• The writing is well done even though there is definitely cheesiness sprinkled throughout, which I don't mind personally.
• The atmosphere and the hotel feel was well done. Wherever they filmed this (It gives you coordinates to the town in-game which is cool) and the sets they used are really captivating and cozy feeling. Reminds me somewhat of the movie The Grand Budapest Hotel, which is one of my personal favorites.
• Without giving spoilers, the underlying story was not something I expected going into this game and I mean that in a good way!
• Your choices matter and will effect the outcome which promoted multiple plays of this game. It has solid replayability.
CONS
• Some things aren't explained well. I'd go into more detail but it involves spoilers so I'll just leave it at that.

• DOOR MAZE! Seriously. This was one of the worst experiences I've had in a FMV game. I get this was a thing back in the older FMV or choose your adventure games, but I feel like we've evolved past that. Long story short there is a cutscene for every path you take.
For example: Open door? -> Cutscene of him looking around -> Choose option -> Locked door? -> Cutscene of him trying and failing -> Cutscene of him looking around -> Choose Option.
It's tedious. Almost enough to make me stop playing but they place it in a spot during the game where you wouldn't want to quit.
CONCLUSION
Overall this game is great and a welcomed addition to my collection of Wales Interactive FMV games. Not only did I enjoy it but when I streamed it, I got a great reactions from friends and chat. If you're into these kind of games then I feel like you would enjoy it as much as i did. The only real big negative was of course the door maze mentioned above.
