The Electrifying Incident: A Monster Mini-Expedition Review (Undurable)
Store page says this game takes 30-90 minutes to beat, which I find to mostly be a lie. It took me 26 minutes, and that's with me taking my time and getting stuck embarrassingly long on an early puzzle. Yes, the secret achievement exists, but I won't go for it, and I suspect most people won't either.
The game doesn't feel like it explores its mechanics thoroughly enough. The very last puzzle in the game introduces some cool door shenanigans, which would make for interesting puzzles and a good time, but instead the game just ends right there. I do appreciate that the meta elements of moving boxes between rooms is thoroughly explored, especially for the game's runtime.
The game's setting is bland and monotone, unlike the vibrant and varied biomes in the original A Monster's Expedition. All the rooms feel the same, which makes the backtracking and general layout of the facility confusing.
Ultimately, the game is most certainly a disappointment, especially if you are a big fan of the original A Monster's Expedition.
