The Descendant Review (timaed)
If you like click-to-solve puzzle games with easy solves and very light memorization, this is the game for you. The Descendant is reminiscent of Myst and Life is Strange, with required puzzle-solving and decision-based outcomes. Playing a chapter of this every day for the past week was really fun; I want to go back and see what other outcomes I can unlock. I do wish it relied on the keyboard for maneuvering instead of clicking, and I also think it would have been a little more fun if exploration were more possible. You're locked into a task from the moment you're told to do it, so looking around the ark and finding clues as to what's going on isn't really possible. I think upgrading those features would have boosted this game into higher popularity, although I do think the story was interesting and well-written.
