The Descendant Review (roughnecks)
I liked the game but some things are not done well.
First of all, mouse-clicking movements are atrocious, meaning that is very difficult to choose where you want to go and the game always thinks otherwise.. At a given point you also get a map with a clickable icon on screen to reach some destinations in game which are not super easy to: well, clicking on the map icon also moves your character, so you lose perspective on where you were and where you are now.
Puzzles? They are easy in the first couple episode and get harder later on but it's because some are presented in a very wrong way that understanding what they want you to do is quite difficult.
Graphically speaking I found it odd that game is running at only 30FPS, even if this game genre doesn't require more of that.. (cutscenes are not capped instead and run at full frames/s). I liked the artwork tho, especially where there are close-ups or scenery to watch at.
Game language is English only but it's got subs (Italian, French, German and Spanish) and it's translated quite well, can't complain.
100% Achievements requires multiple playthroughs (choices matter)..
Overall a good experience, would recommend for some casual playing between your favorite games. It also goes up to 90% OFF when on sale.
