The Bridge Curse 2: The Extrication Review (E.M.J. ㋛)

Masterful, like the first one. I especially appreciate the balance between story beats, enemy encounters and puzzles. I can imagine alot of people might have an issue with the walking sections and the (unskippable) cutscenes bloating the run time, but I thought it added tension and atmosphere to the overall experience. Also, I ADORE the quirky humour.
I played with Taiwanese spoken language, as the English one does sound a bit off, not necessarily badly acted, but like they still have Tai tone or inflection to English words, or if it's more how the dialouge is written perhaps, especially in combination with the somewhat exaggerated motion capture. Mind you, I still love it, but it's very theatrical and unnatural.
It looks and sounds AMAZING. I have never seen hands in the first person perspective look so good and as if they are actually a part of the player behind the screen, combined with the camera movements and placement. And the enemy designs are top notch and super fun to face, or avoid as is the general rule of survival stealth games. Encounters are just the lenght and amount enough to not get tedious or frustrating if you die a certain amount of failed attempts. Controls and mechanics are super user friendly and easy to master. I only had 2 issues basically, one being thinking I needed to press a button to dispel certain obsticles in my path, when I only needed to run into them w my lantern fully charged, and the other being something that I can't even recall at the time of writing, might update.
The story is okay, and pieced together as a mystery, but the individual parts are better then the sum I'd say. It peaks in the middle section with a certain boss, and goes a bit downhill from there. However, I was entertained all the way through and motivated to 100% it by replaying chapters after finishing. It actually inspired me to go back to the 1st one and go for the 3 achievements I had left there.
I remember the 1st one being scarier and slightly more difficult, but if that is based on my preference, personal state of being at the time, or the game itself, I couldn't say. I also seem to remember it being a little less stream lined, but it could be my memory failing me. However the quality of this series is top notch.
Also, the addition of Poody was a highlight.
