Tempopo Review (abatage)
Solid puzzle game, but not surprised coming from devs who actually care about making things work properly. The first half is a bit straight forward and kind of easy, but the back half throws in some more challenges and a few noodle scratchers. Don't forget though, this isn't the most hardcore puzzle game in the world, but that's okay, it's still a lot of fun.
Only criticism I have is that some of the music isn't really to my taste, but that's completely subjective. It's still produced well and does exactly what it says on the tin. There's a lot to dig into if you want one of the weirdest DAWs ever, which is nice, but not something I spent any time with. Oh, and the gamepad controls are a bit lacking in places - I personally hate using analog sticks to control an on-screen cursor, but the game works fine with a mouse... use ye a mouse.
For my money, it's worth it for the main 60 puzzles, which were enjoyable and challenging enough. Plus, I like how all of the solutions can be eventually nutted out with iteration alone, rather than arbitrary physics combinations that never feel purposeful. At least I know that i struggled because of my own dumb brain, and succeeded with the same dumb brain.
Poilished and well put together - exactly what I was expecting from this developer.
