Tempest Rising Review (Hellbishop)
TEMPEST RISING an intense and fun experience with explosive earthshaking immersion as graphics and audio splatter and sing across the screen. Layers of tech and weapon updates while on the map and after a victory such as doctrines, armory updates etc all represented with different graphics.
Music is a hardcore mix of heavy metal and industrial which had me coming back for more game play in my free time. Before and after mission updates are incredibly well done capturing that classic b-movie style of COMMAND & CONQUER while also giving a strong dark sense of a world having taken a really bad turn in its history.
Animations and combat visuals are highly detailed and grim full of futuristic excellence dealing out flesh searing BONE CRUNCHING DEATH!!! It was pretty hilarious running over infantry with my tanks and hearing them scream in agony. Seeing tanks explode as metal parts fly off in a FIREBALL OF DOOM! is a real rush and great to see the masterfully skilled Developers taking advantage of what modern technology can do bringing COMMAND & CONQUER ultra violent warfare to this new age of gaming in 2025.
If your having trouble with the main campaign check out skirmish mode to learn the game mechanics of all the units and to enjoy things at a slightly less frantic pace where you can enjoy the rich thick base building and all the cool upgrades allowing units to survive a bit longer while playing on some really well done maps with their own fun aspects to be discovered especially for gamer's like me who always play against a single ai opponent in all my games.
