Tekken 8: Heihachi Mishima Review (AlexAwef)
Don't listen to the unexplained negative responses, he's actually quite well made. Though, do listen to those who preach about Tekken's bad sales practices. Bandai deserves a couple slaps on the wrist.
This is easily my favorite DLC character so far. He's pretty well balanced; he's got Bryan's damage, struggles with tracking, doesn't have ridiculously safe counter-hit launchers in the neutral (besides EWGF). He's actually hard to play while being very rewarding. He feels like what a Tekken character should be, I'm impressed. Compare that to Yoshimitsu, Feng, or Dragunov. They have all the best tools at their disposal + insane damage.
I could go on about Yoshi as he's my most played character. Very disappointed about the state he's in. Very happy to see what state Heihachi is in.
DB2 is a little crazy, you can't react to its sound cue anymore. But, on reaction, you are still able to block it on the last 1~2 frames of its animation. Not as useless of a low as it used to be, still risky to use, yet less rewarding due to the push-back on hit.
Heihachi's bully tactics from T7 are gone. No longer can he jab you and have insane frames on block to lock you down at the wall. He must commit to higher risk moves if he wants to pressure you, or use single jabs to throw you off. He is EASILY, in my opinion, weaker than he was in T7. Damage is somewhat higher.
Playing this guy is not easy. You don't get free win buttons on this guy at all, unless you're in his Warrior Instinct state, where you get the most dangerous version of his hellsweep 50/50.
Turning on my comments for the 3 clown rewards. :^)
