Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate Review (Cathartic)

Probably one of the better TMNT games out there besides Shredder's Revenge, Mutants in Manhattan was decent too but no longer on Steam, Splintered Fate does lack alot of depth compared to other rogue likes in the genre, but the story isn't too bad albeit slighly short and repetitive but most rogue likes don't even have a story anyway, the grind for permanent upgrades is addictive and it does give a sense of a huge power creep once fully maxed in everything, tons of build variations to mess with, there is Meta builds going around, Shurikens/ Dash builds, if you know you know but there is still alot of build variety, if you mix and match specific elements you can get a chance at a legendary in the upgrades screen, Astral/Water will give you HP back on hit for e.g, google the rest of the combos, it'll help alot in your runs, personally I'm grinding to max out everything in order to help others online which is endless replayability to me, others I've seen drop the game within 2 hrs or so which is not enough time to give it, you have to beat Shredder I think 7 times or more, each time you do the game changes up Spawns, you'll encounter Mystic and Shadow versions of bosses changing up their attacks/patterns, you'll get access to Portals with negative modifiers for 10% Currency gain, Gauntlet versions of bosses, all unlocked after beating the game, if you're huge TMNT fan don't drop it within 2 hrs, keep grinding the game gets better the longer you play, there is also a roadmap for future DLC via, new playable characters, levels, enemies, bosses, story & more, catch you in game, Cowabunga dudes!
