Teardown: Time Campers Review (tomiveson)

Very poor.
I adore Teardown, and am in (I guess) a minority who enjoyed the base game more for the campaign than the sandbox/modding aspect - I thought the mission and campaign design and the story were great, and really made the most out of the physics engine. I also really enjoyed the Art Vandals update for the same reason (and ironically would happily have paid £7 for that instead of this).
This DLC is like the evil twin of the base game. The original story was witty and absurd, this story is still absurd but it's an-eight-year-old-wrote-this-in-five-minutes kind of absurd. The original had a wide range of vehicles to use in creative and fun ways, this one has a horse that's impossible to control. The original had large, complex structures over diverse landscapes, this one has two indistiguishable maps of scrubland populated with indistinguishable one- and two-storey wooden buildings. The original introduced new tools to you in a way that made sense, this one gives you rope and gunpowder and then sends you on a boring mission to collect objects randomly floating in the sky.
Such a shame. Avoid.
