Team Fortress 2 Review (Wyro)

Going into this, add 3900 hours to whatever it says my playtime is at the top, this is my second account which i made specifically because I could no longer play tf2 on my old account, and I made this new account because I love this game so much I'm willing to start all over again just to keep playing.
Despite my love for this game, I can no longer recommend it. The default settings are so horrible that the game is nigh unplayable if you don't go into the CONSOLE and put in like 20 commands to change settings that literally make you lag intentionally or reduce how much you can see so much its almost funny.
The only way to find out about this is to contact somebody and ask for help, or somebody notices how awfully your playing and MIGHT take pity and decide to help.
Bots have infested every official server, which would be your only option as a new player unless you feel like being stomped into oblivion in Uncletopia by players who are on average far better at the game than most of the few humans left who still play casual, which you, once again, would have no clue about its existence as a new player. Uncletopia is great for experienced players, but it is a terrible experience for a newer player, so it cannot be the replacement for casual, unfortunately.
Valve's only counter to bots so far has been to put communication behind a paywall, which was only done to get the media off their asses about bots spamming racial slurs. I would honestly be fine with this if they didn't also block voice commands - you have to PAY to be able to call for a medic. There was no reason behind this, there's no way to customise voice commands.
There are so many ways to (at the very least) reduce the effectiveness of bots such as removing the ability for users to connect to Valve servers in text mode, a mode that is literally exclusively used by bots.
I can no longer recommend this game, and if you are still recommending it to others you are literally outright delusioned about the state of tf2.
I love this game, but I'm beginning to feel more and more like this is an abusive and neglectful relationship.
