Tales of the Neon Sea Review (CosmicApe)
Overall, it's a pretty solid game. Plays out more like a point and click adventure with moderately difficult puzzles throughout, but nothing crazy. It's a very narrative driven game and for the most part the story is good. It sort of combines a few popular narratives into a single story arch. The pixel art is absolutely fantastic and the attention to detail in the scenes is amazing. It's actually unfortunately that the game doesn't slow you down enough in any one area to truly appreciate the work that went into the art. As a whole, I'd give the game a solid 7/10 or 8/10. It's not too difficult, story is engaging enough, puzzles are just the right balance of easy and difficult, some of it can feel a bit tedious running back and forth, but overall I picked it up on sales for $8 and I'd say it was just worth it at that price. It's been down to $5 before which is well worth it. If it were $10-15+ I'd say wait for another sale before buying.
