Tales of Graces F Remastered Review (BlueDragonXD)
What can I say? This is one of the Holy Grail of the Tales of Series... In my opinion it falls slightly below Vesperia as my all time favourite Tales of Game. However I've never really played a bad Tales of Game! Well I deliberately avoided Xillia 2! But other than that they have all been like 8+ out of 10 games even the "worst" in the bunch.
I think this game has my favourite cast of characters surpassing even Tales of Vesperia in ways. It's also a very long game and has the proper level of challenge. I think it may have the best combat system of any Tales of game? That's a hard claim for even me to make though. So I will hold off firmly stating that and leave it up to you.
If your a new comer I recommend not choosing any of the super powerful grade option bonuses for your first play though. Feel free to turn some of them on but any of the massive EXP bonuse ones etc. It's going to ruin your challenge.
For those of us who have beat it legit I'm going to start with just about all the grade options I want. But I will try to balance that by playing on the hardest difficulties etc. But I've already beat this legit back on PS3 but I still want some challenge.
I've only played like you know two minutes in game? Nothing that stands out so far that I dislike or have issues with. But I will update this review as soon as I run into any annoying bugs or glitches if any do arise.
Speaking of Arise! Tales of Arise the newest tales game is a great game. But it's DLC sucked. If you want to know what a VERY ENJOYABLE extention to the main story feels like. Play tales of Graces F! (Yes that's this game! This is the remastered version.)
For those of you who don't know. Back before DLC was really a thing. I think Tales of Graces released on the Wii? And then it was released as Graces F with like a second story. That's the only version I have played up to this point.
I can tell you the second story while not as like fully enjoyable as the first in terms of actual plot. It still carries! And it's still a blast and even adds on to the combat system in a meaningful way. Basically the opposite of what the post story DLC for Tales of Arise did.
So I wish I could wait and post this when I had like 50 or 150 hours into the game before posting this review. Because I was at like 130 hours in when I posted my review for Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition. But that game had a few porting issues and it was an entirely like "new" story with even new party members etc. I did not know how I was going to like those big changes to the plot etc. I felt I needed to hold off until reviewing it.
Tales of Graces F R baring any unexpected porting issues etc. The story, combat, and characters are all 100% the same as the version I played on the PS3. I already can tell you I love this game and so should you? Have fun!
