Surviving Mars: Below and Beyond Review (Gigarayzor)

Asteroids are kinda cool, but the meat of this DLC is the underground. Unfortunately, just about every aspect of the underground is frustratingly designed, and often doesn't even work properly. There's no good reason to ever go down there even if you play as the underground-focused commander. If you do, you have to manually clear each individual rock pile that litters the entire underground floor one by one, for some reason the map does not stay explored even though the tunnels never change, and half the buildings on the surface just can't be built there for no reason. What should be a shelter from the surface's harsh environment is instead a gimped, manual, and tedious expedition at extreme cost requiring constant attention and the only remotely worthwhile aspects are a couple of rare anomaly events that require you building down there.
