Supermarket Simulator Review (Flotten)

UPDATE: I can no longer recommend this game. It's been a few months with zero issues pointed out below having been fixed. Everything below is still 100% true.
---------------------------
The game has a lot of potential, but it has a serious issue. I DO recommend the game, but you need to know what you are up against. So far I put in almost 140 hours and this is where I am at...
First off, I want to say that I like this game. It is great for relaxing/chilling!
But having said that, there are some major issues here that should be addressed.
Let me give you some stats:
Store Level = MAX (294 days)
Licenses left to buy: 3 (Last 3) for a total of $134,200
Growth left to buy: 9 (last sections) for a total of $965,600
Storage left to buy: 3 (last 3 sections) for a total of $53,750
Cashiers left to hire: 3 (Cashier 4 - 6)
Customer Helper left to hire: 1 (the last 1)
Total Cash needed: $1,099,854
NOTE: Honestly, other than the 3 licenses there is no reason that I see to buy the rest. Why? Because I still have plenty of room when fully stocked to the point that I do not have any "Products not found" or un-satisfied customers at the end of the store day. So basically, 3 cashiers and 3 self checkouts are enough to keep the store going without issues.
So what is the problem? Bottom line is at this point, there is really nothing left but grinding without any reward (other than the 3 remaining licenses) because there is simply no logistical reason to expand beyond what I have. I have empty shelves in storage (plenty of them), and have about 1/3 of store floor space to add more shelves if needed (remember, I can stock more than enough for 1 day, so there is no reason for more floor space.)
Now here is what "grind" I would need in order to buy the expansions (that are useless honestly)....
Number of Daily Customers: 122 (give or take)
Open Minutes Per Day (1st to last customer, stayed open after 9pm): ~10 minutes
Time to re-order and do tasks and wait for stockers, clean/etc.: ~15 minutes
So that means it takes about 25 minutes of REAL TIME to run 1 store day.
The daily Salary+Rent+Bills+Restock costs are: $9,713 / day
Total profit from sales after all expenses: $2,578 / day
NOTE: The average is probably closer to $3,000 / day and keep in mind that I own ALL products except the last 3 licenses. After I purchase those, it will not add that much to my profit.
I try to keep my markup as close to 10% as possible, adjusting it if the customers complain. I also adjust my prices each store day as needed (based in end of day message).
So basically, I need to come up with $1,099,854 making only $2,578 per day. This will take about 426 store days, which when converted to REAL TIME would take about 177 MORE hours of play (on top of the 138 hours already played).
Ok so if I play on average 2 hours a day, we are talking about 89 more REAL LIFE days of playing). I do not have a problem with that because it is a chill game, but how can I be motivated to play when I will get nothing (reward wise) other than 3 more product licenses. REMEMBER: Logistically, there is no reason for me to expand the store, especially considering I would have to grind 1 million dollars without doing anything other than daily operations.... No new product variety, not enough customers (I do not have lines or mad customers, so there is no insentive to hire the last few cashiers.
This game did not need to add cleaning! What it needed was:
+ More Product variety
+ More customers
+ Adjust the prices of the expansions and give us a reason to "need" them in the first place.
The game is good... You can make it better by making the path more linear and give a variety of products, and a reason to expand in the first place.
