Super Alloy Ranger Review (Nerd.)
By the time I have written this, I would like to say I have not finished this game. However, I have gotten through a good amount of it to sing its praise.
I have played a lot of platformers, although they were never really my favorite genre. I've experienced the classics, but recently have been finding it hard to go back to them. This game shows why. Gameplay wise, it feels something like an Megaman X game with better movement. Much like an X game, this game is difficult, although more forgiving. The checkpoints are spread out nicely and when you die and you will, you don't feel like you lost a ton of time to a simple mistake. The art is amazing, although some art will have more effort put into it than others.
I do have some issues with the game. Although they absolutely do not outweigh the positives, but I would like to point them out:
-The translation is not great, like I genuinely not understand what is going on in the story. Although this could be due to the writing itself.
-Some of the collision in this game is a bit janky, when you wall climb into a corner you teleport a little off the wall. Some of the weapons have the strangest hitboxes, leaving me to just not use them that much.
Overall great game and absolutely worth the money.
