Super Alloy Ranger Review (JimmyToeMan)
As someone who has only dipped their toes into the Mega Man X series, thought I have played a good amount of the classic ones, only playing about half of the first X game and trying out Gunvolt, I really enjoyed this game! I beat the Kelly Campaign and started a second play through as No. 2 on medium difficult and felt it was fairly balanced. I didn't feel any part felt super hard with the hardest part of my initial play through was the final boss which isn't an issue since I prefer hard final bosses than pushovers. The levels were all well designed. My favorite is definitely the train, which if you know me you'd know I am very much biased towards train based levels. The soundtrack is amazing and I would buy it right away. (please release it on Bandcamp!)
I may not be an expert on similar styled games but felt as a casual mega man enjoyer that this game was a good unique experience. Just be aware that it isn't exactly super long but with this game and others if it is enjoyable and memorable enough then a short game is usually not a problem.
TLDR: Try it out! It isn't too long for a single play through but it is quite a good game :)
