Super Alloy Ranger Review (Ekam)
It could had been better
Buy it on discount since its also kinda short too
I can't quite put this in "the good and bad", because it does many things that fall flat
Graphics are very cute at least
The controls are responsive enough but maybe for copyright the dash suddenly stops once the animation ends, there is no momentum with it, like you would expect from a megaman game it has this permanent issue at every dash
The music is fine, nothing impactful
The stages are like this too, at first it wants to have a personality but falls repetitive
The level design is... the worlds mostly divided in 4 sections that you have to go trough while you battle enemies, the vertical and horizontal thought given is nice, however it has many levels where you ride platforms surrounded by spikes, so its a lot of waiting there kinda messing with the pace
The story is neat, better than a megaman (not such a high praise really), but we just get glimpses of it, the ones we know the most is #1 & #2 and only because of the records, everyone seems to have a good given background but we are only given so much to kinda understand who they are
The bonus guest characters feel like cameos but of what exactly?? no matter how cool they seem just randomly added is off
I was expecting to play with #1 and the captian or maybe the no. unique and the boss too, or maybe something with the captives, however besides an extra weapon there is nothing else to unlock
Its a game that could had been so much, yet its just there, not bad, not too good 6.5/10
If a sequel is ever made, i do hope it gets polished
