Storyteller Review (Cum Mustard)
Why you should or should not play Storyteller
What is Storyteller?
This game is a cute side scroller type puzzle game, where you have to take a phrase and then turn it into a dramatic scene. You go through a mix of storys and even have some easter eggs in the end.
Initial Thoughts:
-"Muhahahahaha murder."
-"Do I really have the patience for this?"
-100%'s the game "Yes... yes I do."
Beginner Player Friendly?
This game is definetly fit for any new gamers who are looking into a puzzle game that is more simple. The nice thing about this puzzle game is that you are not in a horror setting or in first person so you can have a super chill experience while also making cute love stories... or murder scenes.
Game Play:
The game play itself is pretty simple. You just drag, drop, and rearrange items that the game provides in order to create a scene. Not much else to it.
Graphics:
I love the simple 2d style that these graphics offer, its easy on the eyes and its honestly really cute to watch the characters little faces. For being 2d and only really seeing them from the side they are very expressive little guys. The book itself is a little more detailed then the characters, but I overall think it compliments the style of the game and truly makes it feel like you're in a book.
Community:
This game is single player, however, from what I have seen of the tiktok community and the steam community everyone seems very friendly and willing to help if needed.
How long can you play?
You can realistically play for as long as you want, however, If you only do one playthrough, with all the content, its only about 3 hours worth.
My Opinion:
Overall I did really enjoy this game, it made me laugh and had funny little plays that go along with it. I hope they add more, I feel like there wasn't loads in this game and there could be so many chapters to add or even some sort of "sandbox" option where you can use any characters or scenes to create your own story. Also I would say this game is child friendly, so if you want your children to get into puzzle games this could be it.
