Sticky Business Review (Noodle Cult)
I really, really want to give Sticky Business a thumbs up. Unfortunately, it only remains fun for a couple of hours, and then gets frustrating quickly due to missing some glaring QOL features.
- you can't edit a sticker design, so if you want to add a new sticker element you've unlocked, you need to completely remake the sticker
- you have to assign a sticker to a sheet of paper and can't change this, so again if you unlock new paper you want to use, you need to completely remake the sticker (imo you should be able to print all stickers on any paper, and choose the paper type when printing)
- no copy and paste/duplicate row in the printing layout screen, making the laying out of anything except completely square stickers incredibly tedious.
I find the above problems to clash in a really frustrating way with the core gameplay loop, which is about earning coins and hearts to unlock new sticker elements/papers. The issues only become more grating the more you play, to the point I wasn't really having fun past the three hour mark. Continued release of paid DLC when the above issues haven't been addressed only makes them more frustrating. This is usually the kind of game I'd achievement hunt, but I already know I would find it miserable due to the above points.
