Stasis: Bone Totem Review (Frostnatt)

And you thought Weyland-Yutani Corporation was bad... Brilliant point and click horror, thats part lovecraftian, part body horror and part corporate dystopia. Fantastic gory art, stellar voice acting that's probably some of the best in the genre ever. Great story, Outstanding sound design. On a technical, world building and design level, this get everyting right.
The puzzles however are not as good. It's definitly on the harder side compared to contemporary point and click games, with some real head scratching logic in parts and a bit anoying mechanics. Where you have three characters to juggle, with special abilities of their own, the scifi mcguffin they have that transfer items between them over long distances is not really explained but i'll let it slide. But each usualy have a very limited area they move around in at each stage, so it's not too bad, but it takes some time to get used to.
But it's also a lot of trial and error, giving items to Mac to see if he can break them down, give them to Charlie to see if she can combine them, having those skills on specific characters and not as generic skills just added meningless inventory juggling. You kind of also need to have your phone to take pictures of the various diagrams and schematics you find that you will need later. Nothing deal breaking, but if you are easily frustrated by point and click logic at the best of times, you might want to play this with a walkthrough on standby.
