SpookWare Review (ARLiD!)
I feel weird recommending this game since it's not finished but there are some actual things I can already talk about:
Art style is fantastic, and so is the music. Gameplay feels fresh with each new minigame and chapter bringing something new to the table. But the second chapter was a drag to me; everything else I liked.
I like where this is going but I feel like the game is going to take forever to get finished. This should have been an early access title. I wouldn't have bought it if I had read the description more thoroughly but I don't regret it either. I just generally enjoy playing full games.
So far, it's an 8/10. It's good, it's bizarre and it's fun. I guess I'll update my review later on.
UPDATE 1: Episode 2 is out!
Pacing was much better overall in comparison to the first episode in which some of the overworld quests dragged on. Minigames were very cool, innovation is still there; although some of them took me a while to figure out and I thought the game was a little bit unfair. However, it was all cool after a couple of tries. Will be looking forward to the next episode. My original review still stands.
