Spirit Mancer Review (Novella)

OK, so, normally, I don't write reviews on Steam, but I feel I need to express how I feel about the game. I like the card usage gameplay for summons, I like all the small side stuff to do, but I have a few issues with the game after beating it. Yes, like other reviewers have pointed out, some cutscenes completely lack any audio, hurting the impact of the scenes it normally would have had there been audio for them. Also, the "ending" of the story ends on a cliffhanger, disappointing me of the story. These two problems, makes me feel the game was rushed to be "finished", rather than proper care given to it out of love.
I'd totally accept DLC expansions or a sequel if it meant continuing the story from how it ended, it ended on a note that was unsatisfying for me. If we got to see what happens after "that ending" or a better, more satisfying alternative ending to put a proper conclusion rather than the cliffhanger rushed-like ending it got, I wouldn't have issues with this game.
I LOVE this game, but it ended on a bad note, with no proper conclusion in sight anywhere. Because of that, I'm unsure if I can recommend this game in the review. It ended without a proper conclusion. There's no audio in the ending nor ending credits. How the cliffhanger ending went, reminds me of another game, which had a similar unsatisfying ending. That game had that ending to set-up a sequel by having that cliffhanger. And although "that" game never got an actual sequel, they had the cliffhanger for a proper reason, even if it was abit carelessly bold.
This game however? The ending is improper and feels rushed. Not giving a proper conclusion to the story. The cast never actually ends up returning home, and we see ships flying out of portals, and THAT'S how the game ends?! It's barely a 7/10 with that ending and the lack of care of some cutscenes and audio. And I'm being generous. As a hater of cliffhanger endings of games, that never get followed up on, this game's ending gave me that sour taste in the writing and care, despite enjoying the game so much.
The cutscenes are well animated too, it's just imo, held back by the lack of any audio in some cutscenes, and how the ending became, with no follow up of any kind in sight as far as I can tell. Please, give us some sort of follow up, the story writer in me hates such a conclusion being the finale of the story.
Oh yeah, not related to this game, but I would write stories in the past. Only finishing writing chapters when I found it was a proper place in the story to stop. They weren't the BEST written, but I have a sense on what a proper conclusion looks like, despite rarely ever writing the end of the stories.
btw, although I put yes on reccommending this game, it's only if having such an ending to this game and some cutscenes lacking any audio does not sour the taste of the game for you like it does for me
