Speed Kills Review (UsedForks)

I got this game for one dollar. I would like my dollar back, please.
Imagine the usual frustrations of a top-down racer, with all the depth and polish of a mobile game, where you spend more time in the menus (which you can't even properly navigate with a controller) than on the five-second races. And my God, the gameplay. This is some of the fussiest driving I have seen, even for this genre. Your car will just randomly freak out when you drive up a ramp or land from a jump, and when that's not happening the braindead AI will ram into you even when it absolutely does not benefit them in any way.
The shooting is horrible too. You will be aiming straight at someone, your bullets will literally be going right into them, but you just won't hit them half the time unless you're basically touching bumpers. Oh, also the powerups are nearly impossible to see, and you better hope you drive exactly where they are if you do happen to spot/remember them, otherwise you won't pick them up. You WILL, however, get instantly killed by microscopic mines with HUGE hitboxes, which only your opponents have access to, at least initially. I didn't play this piece of crap long enough to find out.
There is not one single aspect of this game that is enjoyable in any way. It's not fun - It's aggravating. It's not engaging because the races are far too short, it's not immersive because the customization is basically nonexistent, and it's not even charming because there is no voice acting/decent music to speak of. There are plenty of other games out there that actually get this genre right. Do not make the same mistake I did. Stay far, far, away from this hot garbage.
