Snips & Snails Review (Hades)
Omg! First off? This game was suuuper cute and hilarious XD. I loved it sooo much! It's certainly not what I expected from the title, length and price. I honestly thought this was going to be a short, cute game. But it was long, funny, the story could go deep at times, and it had some 18+ optional content if you wanted a little textual nsfw.
Now, I recently got a steam-deck for Christmas, and made this my first game play-through on it. It worked great! For those of you who have the steam-deck and want to try it out, here's some facts to know:
-The game will prompt for the mouse button/digital keyboard usage when handheld. But the only time you need to use the mouse & digital keyboard is only when you have to input your MC's name into the text-box (that's right, you get to name her!). And once you're used to the steam deck's mouse pad and digital keyboard a bit more? It's actually really easy!
-So, in order to bring up your digital keyboard on the steam-deck while playing, press the steam key and the 'x' button at the same time. Sometimes timing is amiss, and you accidentally pull up the steam menu, but that's okay! No worries, just hit the "resume game" on the menu buttons or the 'b' button if it allows for going back (sometimes it does, and sometimes it doesn't it can be a little finicky)
-Also, if you want to take screen-shots of things like those gorgeous BG's? Then all you gotta do to make the text box disappear temp is to bring up the digital keyboard like how I mentioned up above, and then press the H button, and then bring down your digital keyboard using the symbol for it in the far bottoml, right hand corner of your digital keyboard. It's the keyboard symbol with a down arrow underneath it. That will remove your digital keyboard and will allow you to take a screen shot using the steam button + R1 at the same time!
Over all, this game was super cute. Loved it a lot, there were some text/word errors&incorrect story descriptions/transitions at times, but nothing that really bothered me or disrupted my game-play. So I 100% recommend it!
