Sniper Elite 4 Review (Rakoon)
This game is in-between a sniper and stealth game doesn't know which one to be. Stealth aspect is really basic and gets boring quickly because all you do is approach the enemy quietly and press E. There's no combat or any other mechanic to create a variety. Sniping gameplay is also almost not needed since the game actually prefers you to be quiet. The x-ray killcam is a gimmick of this game which gets repetitive quickly. I know there's a setting to change the frequency.
AI is really stupid as well. Imagine you infiltrated to the enemy base, kill a few of them and someone finds the bodies. They start searching for you for just a short time and forget about you. You can drag their attention by throwing rocks or blowing a whistle to bring them towards you. 20 years-old Hitman games have much better stealth than this game.
During the gamplay, you can see the enemies behind the walls, just like a wallhack, I couldn't find a setting to disable this, although I played the game on the hard difficulty without the wind turned on. I hated the wallhack, maybe you can turn it off and maybe I didn't pay attention to the settings well, idk.
Story wasn't interesting for me, characters are not really memorable and voice acting felt pretty bad. Additionally I don't understand why this game is around 70GB.
On the positive side, environmental design is quite beautiful. The game also features a co-op game mode, that can be fun to play with your friends.
I kinda enjoyed the game but it's a type of game if you don't want to bother with engaging with a serious story or gameplay mechanics and just to kill some time. Otherwise boring. I'm gonna mark as not recommended but you could get it on a deep discount to try it. It's 5.5/10 from me.
