Sid Meier's Civilization VI: Babylon Pack Review (KommunistKraut)
Babylon is a fun-to-play but also ridiculously overpowered civilization. You can have planes and Infantry up and running while the whole world is still stuck on old crossbowmen and Men-At-Arms. Absolutely. Ridiculously. Overpowered.
For multiplayer games, this is probably an instant ban. You don't want to deal with someone completely breaking the game. As for the AI, its okay. A bit hard to defend against in the higher difficulties but manageable. With that said, its still fun to play if you do intend to play. Also, its Babylon, fun to get to know one of the oldest civlizations to ever exist.
Although, thats not everything covered in the pack. It also includes six new city states; one of each type. It gives a nice variety and some of the city-states are pretty nice. It also has some new great people. My favourite are Imhotep and Shah Jahan cause i'm more of a wonder building guy and they do have pretty nutty bonuses :D
And lastly it includes the Heroes & Legends gamemode. While, I have not experimented with it that much, its still a fun new way to play civ and add some more variety into the game. It also helps a bit more with the relic culture runs (which you're so starved of in normal civ runs) and the heroes themselves are pretty nutty and fun to play around.
Overall, i'd say it's good and it deviates more towards the "fun" category. If you're a competitive or multiplayer person then Babylon is not a civ for you(it will be banned everytime) but still the other things included are worthwhile but again you should probably just buy it in the complete bundle, the bundle is more than worth in my opinion; especially if you have or plan to spend hundreds of hours playing civ :D
