Sid Meier's Civilization VI: Babylon Pack Review (Hat8)

Civ's developers seem hell bent on making Babylon being overpowered into a trope or running joke of their series. However, this packs is not overpowered in the same way as Civ V's Babylon. Its much crazier and much more overpowered .
In Civ V Babylon is overpowered because all of its abilities compliment eachother. It has cheaper archers & walls, and a free academy. It gets better science from the start of the game and can dedicate its resources to production instead of defence. Everything it has is objectively good from the start of the game.
In Civ VI Babylon is overpowered because it instantly researches things upon hitting a eureka bonus. Meet another Civ on turn 2? You get writing instantly. Find a natural wonder? You now have astrology and can get right to building Holy Sites for a religion. Build a mine and kill a barbarian with a slinger? You instantly get archers and chariots. This instant research from eurekas applies to the entire game and it is insane to play through the game like this. The negative 50% science from buildings Babylon has is *really* not an issue at all. Even crazier, when building a district for the first time Babylon also gets the first building for free so it is probably the best civ for rushing a religion.
Despite everything about this Civ being overpowered. What is fortunate is that it is only overpowered in the hands of a player. The AI is crippled by the -30% science so this Civ does not ruin the game.
