Shores of Loci Review (Ignite)
I recommended this game for the sheer artistry it able to offering me. And I'm always had a soft spot for something unique in such department (art).
But we are talking about video game here, So the presentation and being "artistry" alone doesn't cut, So how's the gameplay you may ask.
Well, Lets jogging back into your memories a bit, Remember first time you play something like Lego or Jigsaw, or perhaps building a sand castle or clay? Yeah, This game gave you that kind of moment back to you again. But this time in a VR and you can inspecting detail on each of piece of puzzle in a way that only VR could offering to you.
Shore of Loci is about you picking pieces of "puzzles" and figuring about which go where, Simple as that. The best part is when you are realizing that your "pieces of puzzle" are getting much bigger, much grander and more elegant as you are progressing through the game.
So this is where a little Con start to kicking in, The gameplay are just that, You are fix in one room scale position, Doing a 3d Jigsaw puzzle, Finishing one stage and transfer to next, Rinse and repeat.
So the best way to experiencing this game, is not to rush, you are to enjoy "things" each stage could offering you, The BGM, The beautiful scenary, The puzzle and most important "Time" that you are willing to spent and feeling like a little kid again.
And the price tag is in my opinion the best , Not too much, Not too little. The Dev could made an extra by releasing a DLC for the soundtrack alone too.
