Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island Review (Wolf Plisken)
Originally put tons of hours into the switch version, Shiren is one of my all time favorite game series.
Serpentcoil Island is definitely one of the best games in the series, and also one of the toughest (although the series is known for its difficulty). If you enjoy roguelikes, this is the series that brought the genre into the mainstream back in the day. The game runs like a dream on steam deck and PC alike and still looks just as beautiful as the switch version with its stunning art style. The music is phenomenal and the presentation is perfect. You can tell a lot of love went into crafting this game.
This is one of my games of the year and I can’t wait to sink even more hours into the steam version. Give this a shot, I’m sure you’ll have a great time!
