She Sees Red Review (Orge Lambart)
In life somethings just go together, peanut butter and chocolate (sorry if you have a peanut allergy, but lots of truth exist in this statement), Toast and Butter, Cereal and Milk, Big Bewbs and…. OK never mind. Anyway, as I was saying, somethings just go together, and something I never really though would be a perfect mix but is…. Was…. Wait for it... wait for it… movies and video games. Not video games based on movies, they suck 99% of the time, I’m talking about a movie that is a video game. Something about watching a movie and making choices which drive the story along just works.
Which brings me to the game She Sees Red, a great title, for a decent game, so what is the game She See’s red about. Well the game puts you in the shoes of a detective, trying to solve a murder or murders which took place in a night club owned by a really shady dude (bald headed dudes are always shady, it’s like a written rule). Will you solve the crime, discover the dastardly criminal or will you sub comb to the evil that lurks behind every corner.
Game play - The game plays like a movie with really awesome FMV’s, leading to some QTE’s, where you need to make two choices to drive the story along. The game features multiple endings, and 62 difference scenes you can view, although being honest it’s more like 40 as some of the scenes are merely just a few dialog changes.
Pros
Duel voice overs, Russian or English (play the game with Russian and English subtitles)
Great soundtrack (I’m fitting to get some of those songs on my Spotify playlist)
Interesting concept and story
Ability to skip over movies you’ve seen (thank the lord from us Achievement hunters)
Easy 100%
Cons
Fairly short, I got 100% and it took a little over 2 hours
A few commentaries which don’t match up with your choices
Need more BEWBS, one pair was nice, but we want more :-D
Recommendation
So do I recommend She see’s red? The concept is really awesome, I know a few other games have used the same set up, FMV’s interlaced with choices and QTE’s, the acting is on par with made for television movie, (I even though the one guy was Jeremy Renner) I have to say it’s a fairly easy recommendation, the level of care could have easily saw this as a movie on it’s own, not just any B movie either, something that would have likely gotten some buzz around it. Sure some of the writing was a bit cliche, but that can be forgiven because shockingly all the actors and actresses did an exceptional job,, IMO.. Did I mention the game has a bewb? So yes buy the game, for the easy 100%, stay for the great story, and at only 7.99 the game isn’t going to break the game. You could probably even wait for a sale but at that point you’re pretty much just stealing.
