Shadow of the Tomb Raider: The Serpent's Heart Review (Theoran)
The Serpent’s Heart DLC has Lara attempt a rescue and then find a secret hideout of the cult. Lara then must retrieve the Godslayer bow in exchange for a prisoner’s life. She then has Godslayer bow given back to her and is asked to promise to use it against Amara… Unfortunately, we’ve already killed him so the entire mission of retrieve the bow so that the mission giver could challenge Amaru means nothing.
I enjoyed the challenge tomb a lot. I found it to be fun, interesting, and not callously difficult. It involves loads of sinking platforms and rotating blades which could have been a Bowser level in a Mario game. Like the earlier four DLCs, this one adds less than an hour of content and should have been part of the base game, not an after-the-fact DLC. I do recommend it for what it is so long as it’s part of a bundle and not individually for $5.
