Shadow of the Tomb Raider: The Forge Review (Theoran)
The Forge DLC adds a little story which is really just a side mission, a small crypt, and a new challenge tomb that takes less than an hour to complete. The added tomb itself is visually interesting and not too difficult but can feel extremely tedious. Under scrutiny, the story/side mission doesn't hold up very well. To uncover a family secret Abby must find and journey to a unknown tomb to uncover the truth, but Lara goes in her place... Abby learns of her lineage and that she has been given a role to fulfill for her people, but no worries, she's unknowingly been performing the role the whole time so no need to change anything... Your reward for all of this? An outfit and a gun you won't use.
Should all 7 DLCs been part a single DLC for $5-$10? Yes. Would I have felt satisfied spending $5 when this originally came out? Absolutely not. I still recommend this as by this time it's packaged with the main game but I would have not recommended this upon initial release.
