Shadow Gambit: Yuki's Wish Review (Young Fawn)
Return of a Favourite
Yuki's Wish is a DLC for Shadow Gambit that introduces six new missions and a new character for your crew.
For those who have played Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun you'll recognise Yuki immediately, well now she's an undead pirate.
Her kit is very different from how it was in Shadow Tactics, since some of her abilities went to another character, she has some new stuff. Still with a trap (albeit much better than her old one) and using Kuma, the Tanuki that belonged to Takuma in the original game.
However Yuki really shines in just her passive ability that you don't even need to activate. If you kill someone with your basic attack or with a trap, their body turns into a log. You don't need to hide the body. This makes Yuki -extremely- Overpowered. She will slot into quite literally any comp you've got going with her kit and this passive ability, I'd go as far to say that she's the best character in the game, given she can climb vines and swim as well. She's the best at what she does, her only weakness being that she has no range. She's very -very- good.
Yuki's missions are also great, they stand out very well and the new Island is really fun to play in, very Japanese inspired and the mini storyline is compelling enough to see you through to the end.
My only gripe with the DLC, which is the same as I had with Zagan's Ritual, is that every other crewmate has an upgrade once you get 25 vigor. Zagan and Yuki don't get an upgrade so as soon as you unlock them, they're as strong as they'll ever be. Which for Yuki, is definitely more than enough.
Overall, Yuki's wish is definitely the better DLC out of the two that was released. Great returning character, good spin on her moves so she doesn't feel like a copy-paste from Shadow Tactics and her missions are fun. 9/10 as far as DLC's go.
