Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew Review (watchzerg)
Thank you to the mimimi team for their hard work. I am a fan of real-time tactical games and decided to support them by purchasing this game which I heard is their final project.
However, I was disappointed as the game did not meet my expectations. In my opinion, it falls short compared to their previous works like Shadow Tactics and Desperados 3.
1. Gameplay:
The team made efforts in innovation such as allowing players to select their favorite game characters for gameplay. However, I believe this practice stems from the need for level designers to guarantee that every scene can be completed with any character, ultimately resulting in mediocre game level design and missing out on creating memorable scenes seen in past works.
2. Storyline:
Character personalities come off as frivolous and overly cool, resembling a children's drama.
The game lacks impactful moments. without the loss feeling when I press keyboard 3 after Mugen died, without the difficult choice faced by Aiko in front of her mentor, without Cooper's persistence in seeking revenge for his father, and without Lost and disheartened after being betrayed by Hector.
Maybe my perspective will change upon finishing the game, but unfortunately, I couldn't continue playing due to these shortcomings.
(I apologize if my feedback seems harsh; I had high hopes for this game.)

感谢mimimi团队的精彩付出,我非常喜欢即时战术这种游戏类型。听说《影子诡局:被诅咒的海盗》是该团队的最后一部作品,特地买来支持。
但是很遗憾,游戏品质并没有达到我的预期。在我看来,本部作品甚至不如前两部(《影子战术》、《赏金奇兵3》)。
1,游戏性方面:能看到团队很努力的在创新:例如:
(a) 游戏的保存机制与剧情中海盗船的魔法(保存记忆)结合了起来。
(b) 允许玩家选择自己喜欢的游戏角色来进行游戏——但是在我看来,正是因为关卡设计师需要确保“任何一个场景,在缺失任何一个角色的情况下,依然是可以被通过的”,这就带来了游戏关卡设计的平庸化,缺少了前作当中一些令人拍案叫绝的场景。
(c) 在关卡之间,玩家可以马利号上进行一些剧情对话,本意是为了增加游戏的乐趣。但不知道是否只是我个人的感受:在每通过一个关卡后,回到马利号上进行剧情对话时,反而让我没有了立即进入下一局的冲动,只想要退出游戏。
2,剧情方面:
每一个角色的性格都是轻佻类型的,充满了矫揉造作和故意装酷,感觉在看一部儿童剧。没有了无限武士死去时自己按下键盘数字3的失落,没有了爱子面对恩师时艰难的选择,没有了库珀为父寻仇的坚持,没有了亦敌亦友的赫克托背叛时的怅然若失。可能我把整部游戏通关之后会有不一样的感受,但是抱歉我确实玩不下去了。
