Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew Review (True - GPG is key)

At this time I cannot fully endorse the way Mimimi is heading. Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew plays easier than previous Mimimi tactical stealth games. The lore is a bit burdensome and long while still being skippable. Previous games had a story that was much more acceptable so to say that it doesn't impact playing the game in a negative way. It feels like skipping makes you miss the lore/story but following it completely and watching/listening to everything will (at my current expectation) result in a story line completion time of 1:2 with 1 part watching lore. The RPG part (boat/hub with side stories) feels somewhat unnecessary but perhaps I'm just not into that as much as others would be. Some characters are way too overpowered, I've completed several missions with like 85% use of only one character while also finishing the mission in just over 15 minutes on my first play through.
As an experienced Mimimi games player and a tactical stealth game fan this game is a disappointment while not being bad at all. That being said I'm now a little over 6 hours in. And have opened up 11(!) tickets for in-game issues/problems that could've been squashed completely by simply play testing it. I do not remember other Mimimi games being this rough around the edges on release. I do not experience any game breaking bugs but I would personally recommend to hold off for now and perhaps play this game in a month or two when they hopefully fixed some annoying bugs.
In the end it somewhat feels rushed (compared to the previous games) but has that nice feeling to it. If you liked previous Mimimi games this will suit you just fine, the price is fair (so far) but I have doubts about the way Mimimi is heading with this.
I will update this review when I finish the story line and when I 100% complete the game.
